Paul Lee has been doing magic tricks since he was 10 years old. Lee has performed the same illusion with a newspaper in each and every show he has done since he was 14, the 50-year-old reported.
That’s the only thing that will be predictable during his family show, “The Magic and Illusions of Paul Lee,” 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at Lake Villa District library, 1001 Grand Ave.
Magician Paul Lee
“There will be four live animals,” Lee reported. “I will change some animals into other animals and different objects into animals.” A picture of Frankenstein will magically become painted, with the help of an audience member.
The magician is known for his fast-paced style. He performs to music which he says appeals to the “little ones.”
Lee first became interested in magic watching the magician on the “Bozo’s Circus” television program in the ’60s. “I got a magic set from my parents for Christmas and the rest is history,” he said.
Lee said what’s best about doing magic shows is “being able to bring smiles to people’s faces.”
